Oscar winner questions 9/11.

Marion Cotillard: '9/11 attacks made-up'

French actor Marion Cotillard says America fabricated the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

The 32-year-old actor, who last month won an Oscar for her rendition of signer Edith Piaf in the movie La Vie En Rose, questioned the veracity of the 2001 attacks in a radio interview that has only recently come to light, the Daily Mail has stated.

"I think we're lied to about a number of things," Cotillard said, singling out 9/11 as an example of the US making up horror stories for political ends.

Referring to the two passenger jets that were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Centre, Cotillard said:

"We see other towers of the same kind being hit by planes. Are they burned? They was [sic] a tower, I believe it was in Spain, which burnt for 24 hours.

"It never collapsed. None of these towers collapsed. And there [in New York], in a few minutes, the whole thing collapsed."

She also suggested the twin towers were destroyed because they were outdated "money-suckers" that would have cost more to pull down then to illicitly destroy.

"It was a money-sucker because they were finished, it seems to me, by 1973, and to re-cable all that, to bring up-to-date all the technology and everything, it was a lot more expensive, that work, than destroying them," she said.

The comments may cast a pall over what many have recently suggested was a promising career in the US film industry.

She also questioned the US Moon landing during the interview, recorded last year on the French radio program Paris Premiere - Paris Derniere.

"Did a man really walk on the Moon? I saw plenty of documentaries on it, and I really wondered. And in any case I don't believe all they tell me, that's for sure," she said.

The most painful thing about all this is that so many people are devaluing the lives lost on that horrible day by dismissing the monsters who slaughtered them and burying the truth in layers of lies. It's been years since 9/11 and I'm still angry; I'm still in shock. How can you not tear up when you see the heartbreaking photos taken that day? Marion Cotillard and all the shameful idiots like her should rot in hell.

It's hard to put into words how repugnant these comments are. Why do the Hollywood types think it trendy to deny the obvious truths and buy into conspiracy theories.
I would challenge anybody...ANYBODY!....to a debate on the subject of 911. It would be easy to argue because no debate actually exists. If one would stop for a second to regard the alleged motives for 911, the moon landings, and the scope of the cover ups, It would expose the believers as being profoundly stupid even before looking at the hard data. I remember a few days after 911 Oliver Stone alluded to an idea that the terrorist attack may have been an inside job or its somehow America's fault that the event took place. How dare he even suggest that! What a self important blowhard! Stone is like Moore. He hates America but loves America when it's convenient to do so.

I bet Cotillard saw the "spoof" documentary about the moon landings and bought the content as fact. She might be just that dumb. It's not that far fetched considering that actors work in a world of make believe.

I remember as a young child the thrill I got watching tv coverage of the Eagle touching down on the surface of the moon back in July 1969. That is IMHO the single greatest feat of mankind. Why anyone would want to dismantle this accomplishment is beyond me.

I know. I don't understand how anyone can believe they faked the moon landings and most especially 9/11. It was there for the whole world to see- the poor souls jumping from the towers, the terrified citizens covered in dust, the heroic firemen and Marines who went into the towers and never came out again.

I haven't seen Oliver Stone's film because... well, it's Oliver Stone. I've heard good things bout it though, but I dunno... I'm pretty allergic to all things leftist. Besides, I've already watched another 9/11 film- United 93, I'm sure you've heard of it -and had a hard time sitting through it without crying my eyes out. I guess it's because 9/11 is still so fresh to me. Pretty painful. Which is why I get so angry when some nut yaps about how 9/11 is phony, or how it's all America's fault. :(
