Haven't seen this clip before... what a moment in time! Marilyn Monroe may have had her mental issues but she was an amazing entertainer and a pure Hollywood gem. I've seen several of her films (How to Marry a Millionaire, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Prince and The Showgirl) and she was sweet and funny in all of them. Maybe not as deep an actress as the great Vivien Leigh, but a wonderful one nonetheless. Besides, you can't compare Scarlett O'Hara to a funny dumb blonde. It's like apples and oranges. Anyway here's a good book on Marilyn- The Secret Life of Marilyn. It's tragic and heartbreaking, but has a lot of good info on this beloved American icon.
